Alternative Learning and Technology in the Community School

Alternative Learning and Technology in the Community School is one of the most needed aspects for the digitalization of the nation. Taking the same thing into account, a talk based on the topic was held with panelists from various domains including names such as Director General of Center for Education and Human Resource Development, MoEST Dr. Tulsi Prasad Thapaliya, Managing Director of Sikai Samuha Mr. Sudarshan Ghimire, President of Nepal National Teacher Association (NNTA), Executive Director of OLE Nepal Mr. Rabi Karmacharya, Head of Education Unit, Belbari Municipality, Morang Mr. Bhupendra Prasad Koirala, Principal of Shree Gajedi Secondary School, Gajedi, Rupandehi and Former Minister of Science and Technology Mr. Ganesh Shah. The session was chaired by Mr. Ganesh Shah along with a presentation facilitated by Dr. Tulsi Prasad Thapaliya focused on the problems, trends, solutions and policies required to implement alternative learning and technology in the community schools.

Presiding over the program conducted by Zoom on Saturday at 1 o’clock, former minister Ganesh Shah said that transformation in education is necessary now and it should be made practical. Shah stressed on the need for the government to provide technology-friendly quality education to students at low cost by increasing investment. Saru Dhakal, former chairperson of the Technology Journalists Forum, said that the current situation has made us feel the need to connect with technology in every field and stressed on the need to develop a digital education system now.

With the introduction of the Learning Facilitation Directive, the federal government, local bodies and schools have become more active. Speaking on the digital dialogue program on Saturday, the stakeholders said that the role of local bodies would be important to make learning effective in this situation. सामुदायिक विद्यालयमा वैकल्पिक शिक्षा र प्रविधि राष्ट्रको डिजिटलीकरणको लागि सबैभन्दा आवश्यक पक्षहरू मध्ये एक हो। सोही कुरालाई मध्यनजर गर्दै शिक्षा तथा मानव संशाधन विकास केन्द्रका महानिर्देशक डा. तुलसीप्रसाद थपलिया, सिकाई समुहाका प्रबन्ध निर्देशक श्रीमान लगायत सुदर्शन घिमिरे, नेपाल राष्ट्रिय शिक्षक संघ (NNTA) का अध्यक्ष, OLE नेपाल का कार्यकारी निर्देशक श्री रवि कर्माचार्य, शिक्षा इकाई, बेलबारी नगरपालिका, मोरङका प्रमुख श्री भूपेन्द्र प्रसाद कोइराला, श्री गजेदी मावि गजेडी, रुपन्देहीका प्रधानाध्यापक श्री. विज्ञान तथा प्रविधिमन्त्री गणेश शाह   प्यानल सदस्यहरुसँग यस विषयमा आधारित वार्ता भएको थियो । गणेश शाहको अध्यक्षतामा भएको सत्रमा डा. तुलसीप्रसाद थपलियाले सञ्चालित प्रस्तुति सहित सामुदायिक विद्यालयमा वैकल्पिक सिकाइ र प्रविधि लागू गर्न आवश्यक पर्ने समस्या, प्रवृत्ति, समाधान र नीतिहरूमाथि केन्द्रित रहेको थियो ।

शनिवार १ बजे जुममार्फत सञ्चालित कार्यक्रमको अध्यक्षता गर्र्दै पूर्वमन्त्री गणेश शाहले अब शिक्षामा रूपान्तरण आवश्यक रहेको भन्दै यसलाई व्यावहारिक बनाउदै जानुपर्ने बताए । सरकारले लगानी बढाउदै विद्यार्थीलाई कम शुल्कमा प्रविधिमैत्री गुणस्तरीय शिक्षा दिनुपर्नेमा शाहको जोड थियो । प्रविधि पत्रकार मञ्चका पूर्वअध्यक्ष सरु ढकालले अलिहेको परिस्थितिले हामीलाई हरेक क्षेत्रमा प्रविधिसँग जोडिनुपर्ने आवश्यकता महसूस गराएको भन्दै अबको समयमा डिजिटल शिक्षा प्रणलीको विकास गर्नुपर्नेमा जोड दिइन ।

सिकाइ सहजीकरण निर्देशिका आएपछि संघीय सरकार, स्थानीय निकाय र विद्यालयहरू केही सक्रिय हुन थालेका छन् । शनिवार डिजिटल संवाद कार्यक्रममा कुरा गर्दै सरोकारवालाहरूले यो अवस्थामा सिकाइलाई प्रभावकारी बनाउन स्थानीय निकायको भूमिका महत्वपूर्ण हुने बताए । घटनाको बारेमा थप विवरणहरू “Samvad Highlights” शीर्षक अन्तर्गत पाउन सकिन्छ।
